“Clean, bright nose, not ever exuberant, some straw and hay here, good flavor definition, this is an attractive wine with some complexity. Blend is 90% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Sauvignon Gris, aged on the lees, from Vignobles Boyer”
Gilbert & Gaillard ~ GOLD
"Pale yellow with brilliant green highlights. Pleasurable nose of white flowers, white fruits and tropical fruits. Supple attack leading into a full, fresh and fruity palate. Well-balanced. A seductive, crunchy Graves
Gilbert & Gaillard - GOLD
Pale, dainty nose, combining the floral notes, citrus with a touch of mint. In the mouth a concentrated wine, harmonious, candied flavors.
Guide Hachette ~ 1 Star
(..) Good work, since the tasters liked its aromatic expression, carried towards white flowers, citrus and honey. They also liked the well-balanced palate, both well built, fresh and fine.

Attractive cooked aromas with anise hints. Gentle basilic herbs and dark cherry fruit flavours. Concentrated blackcurrant finish. Very fresh.

"This shows a solid core of dark fruits such as blueberries and blackberries, with hints of flowers. Full body, with a fine tannin structure and a clean finish."
Le Guide Hachette des Vins - 2 Stars
"The vineyards Despagne present wines year after year of high expression, portrayed in this remarkable cuvee. From a rigorous selection of parcels, this 2010 reflects perfectly the typical Sauvignon and Semillion from a clay and limestone soil."

Very green and herbal and a wild tangle of tannins that seems to trip you up. There is plenty of tangy, sharply attractive fruit underneath but getting to it is a bit of a challenge. Still, there is a fierceness and a wildness here that I can't help liking. Needs both time and decanting.

Paterson thought it offered " a fabulous aroma with delicate blueberry, earth and redcurrant. Ripe and generous with sweet fruit flavours that are almost New World-like. Attractive, ripe tannins...
