Bordeaux Blanc is in most cases a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and often a small amount of Muscadelle. It is very much the inspiration for Australia’s own Margaret River Classic Dry white. But Bordeaux Blanc are quite different from many Margaret River wines in that they tend to be more complex from light wood ageing, and the key ingredient, a touch of Muscadelle which gives the wine more texture. Bright, fresh, ethereal and a somewhat moore-ish texture are the hallmarks of Bordeaux Blanc. Exciting wines.
‘The Sainte Marie Vieilles Vignes has lovely flowery aromas and rich stone-fruits flavours and exemplary balance. It is amongst the best white wines of the Entre Deux Mers.’ Stephen Brooks
"This estate, somewhat of an insider’s secret produces a brilliant white wine, full of fruit and character. It would merit cru classe status if a new classification were implemented." Robert Parker
Blanc de Lynch Bages has very fine and complex aromas, with notes of citrus, apricot and grapefruit. Good attack on the palate with lots of freshness which gives the wine great delicacy.
