Dinners & Events for tasting fine winesDinners and tastings range from affordable stand-up tastings working your way through 15 to 18 wines including a variety of whites, reds and Sauternes and curios; to more formal multi course dinners with a range of wines that are my personal selections. Often I show a full-production 15 minute film of Bordeaux which is quite dramatic and if one has not been to Bordeaux it certainly gives a good visual presentation of the land and rivers, Chateaux and of course the vineyards. Trust me there is always a knock-out wine or three. The chef at each restaurant, be it Justin North at Becasse, Shannon Bennett at Vue De Monde or Matthew Kemp at Restaurant Balzac, prepares a menu to compliment the wines and often with some classic dishes of the south-west, and will discuss why he/she chose such dishes. I am available to host, guide and discuss the wines and offer structured and informal commentary while dining or tasting.
