Château du Glana consolidated its vineyard thanks to the purchase of several plots of land from neighbouring Château Saint-Pierre. The château was constructed in 1870 and has the characteristic of matching white clay and red brick walls. Gabriel Meffre bought Château du Glana in 1961. The vineyard area soon increased from 5 to 43 hectares with the successive purchase of several plots belonging to 3rd growth Château Lagrange in Saint-Julien. His son, Jean-Paul Meffre, helped by his own sons, Ludovic and Julien, manage new the property surrounded by some of finest great growths in Saint-Julien. They display high ambitious for it, expressed notably by the tremendous strides in quality made since 1999.
