Managed by Isabelle and Stéphane Le May, Château Turcaud is located in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers, between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers, 35 kilometres east of the city of Bordeaux and 20 kilometres south of Saint-Émilion, next to La Sauve Majeure Abbey, a UNESCO world heritage site.
Château Peyrat is actually a Clos of 17 hectares situated in the commune of Cérons, in the heart of the traditional AOC of Graves.
The history of Château Suduiraut began in 1580 with the marriage of Nicole d’Allard and Léonard de Suduiraut. Classified as a Premier Cru Classé (First Growth) in Sauternes in 1855, it has always been known as a superb property (its neighbour is Château d’Yquem).
Olivier Bernard and his team have undertaken to make this wine one of the jewels of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, with an outstanding potential.
After a mild, very dry winter, the growing season got off to a strong start thanks to abnormally high temperatures in spring. In fact, the months of April and May were the warmest in over a century! As a result, flowering took place 3 weeks ahead of time, in mid-May, auguring well for a very early harvest.
