Château Peyrat is actually a Clos of 17 hectares situated in the commune of Cérons, in the heart of the traditional AOC of Graves.

Peyrat, meaning “stone” in the old local dialect, benefits from an exceptional position within the AOC, having a mixed gravel soil with limestone, clay, and stones.

This geographical advantage imparts freshness, minerality and finesse to the wines.

Château Tasting   This is an accessible, tobacco-scented, earthy Graves red, with up-front, plummy fruit, wild herbs, and clear mineral elements. Simple and fresh, this is traditional "lunchtime claret", Merlot-dominated, and unadorned with oak.
